I spent last week in Monterrey (double rr), a gorgeous city hidden in the mountains of northeastern Mexico. It was a special treat, because not only did I enjoy all the nighclubs and house parties, but I had a really great photographic experience.
Here are some pics of Agua Azteca we barely made to while there was some sun light left in the sky.

I stayed with my friend Luis, and also got to play around in his cool studio, these pics were the result of a long day of collaboration testing out new set ups.

| multiple gels = hard!! |
I think there's a huge base of knowledge to dig into in order to be able to produce good studio photos using gels. I had seen this one photo of a girl lit by blue-red lights and I really wanted to know how it was done, after some 20min of messing around this is the most decent light I could come up with... if you got any tips please share!
Nothing beats shooting under the sun, a golden reflector also helps! Luis shot this one, he was alot better at making the model fall into positions, but I thought the scene needed better composition so I dragged those branches in there.
Finally, an experimental shot with illumination from car headlights, the background trees are lit by a strobe. The light looks neat in black/white too:
I still have to scan some lubitel prints to show you how those came out, an easier way would be to take photos of them since I dont have a working scanner right now. anyway let me know what you think about these
